Enfant jouant avec un tableau magnétique bois 30x40cm posé contre un meuble

Which magnetic board should you choose for your child?

There's a question we get asked often. "I want a magnetic board for my child, but I don't know which one to choose." That's normal—there are several. We'll help you make sense of it all.

Why a magnetic board instead of a classic slate?

A slate can be erased. A magnetic board can also be erased—but it also holds magnets. Children can draw the scene with a pencil and place their magnetic characters on top. Both activities on the same surface. Fewer toys, more stories.

Wooden or adhesive magnetic board: what's the difference?

The wooden board is our flagship product. A wooden back, surrounded by a colored ribbon, with a strong magnetic white dry-erase surface. Magnets stick, can be stacked, and tell entire stories. You can also draw on it with an erasable pencil.

The adhesive board is a different approach. A flexible surface that sticks directly to the wall, without a frame or drilling. The surface is magnetic and writable. It's an installation choice—you choose your wall, stick it on, and enjoy.

In summary: wooden for flexibility and play, adhesive for transforming a wall corner into a creative space.

The three sizes of wooden boards

The 30x40cm—the nomadic one. Lightweight (600g), it can be placed flat on a table or leaned against a wall. No fixing needed. It goes on vacation, comes along to grandparents' houses, and can be set up anywhere. Perfect for small spaces and families on the move.

The Cabin format 42x57.5cm—the charming house shape. It weighs 1kg and leans against a wall. No fixings provided, no drilling. Those who want to install it permanently can fix it with adhesive strips like 3M.

The large format 80x55cm—for grand stories. It weighs 3kg and mounts to the wall with the included screw kit. This is the family board, one that can be installed in the living room, kitchen, child's bedroom, or office for years to come.

The two sizes of adhesive boards

The House adhesive board (83.5 x 58cm)—in the shape of a house, it sticks directly to the wall. Magnetic and writable surface. No drilling.

The Scalloped adhesive board (120 x 58cm)—the larger of the two, with a decorative scalloped border. Same principle: sticks to the wall, magnetic and writable surface.

From what age?

Wooden boards are recommended from 3 years old, in conjunction with compatible magnetic games, some pieces of which are small. The board itself has no age limit—it remains useful long after for drawing, organizing, and displaying.
