Hearing the words "Ma Cabane À Rêves", I imagine a cozy little cocoon, surrounded by clouds where one can snuggle up, a reassuring and calming place.

A little something to introduce the family

We're Léonard, 2 and a half, Carole, and Donald, 35! We live in the Paris region.

After almost 3 years at home without being separated, we returned to school (nursery school) and work at the beginning of September 2023.

What is your biggest dream?

To live on love and fresh air around the globe, together, with our skateboards and our van!

To set off to discover the world as a family, to explore, meet people, grow, and marvel.

Where do you like to spend your family vacations?

We fell in love with the Basque Country a few years ago, and so did Léonard; he talks about Biarritz every day! It feels like home and makes us feel alive!

Nature, the ocean, surfing, and the slow life – everything we love.

Children's toys are a bit like they have magical powers to teleport all over the house!

At Ma Cabane à Rêves, we've opted for a "Mix and Match" approach between the world of play and that of decor. Toys that are both fun to look at and to play with.

Is this a factor you consider when choosing toys for your child?

Oh yes! I am one of those moms for whom the quality, interest, and design of a toy are very important. I like to create a cute and soft universe for my son, and to be able to integrate pretty toys into his room's decor, and indeed into the rest of the house, since toys have that famous magical power!

So I'm quite particular about that, my loved ones know it, and for example, for gifts, they always ask me first!

Magnets that go in the bath, is that a plus for you?

It's really great!

Here, bath time is a real, long playtime, and being able to bring our magnets and create stories in the water is super cool.

Magnets or stickers?

This summer, during our van road trip, Léonard discovered a real passion for stickers... But it was so frustrating that once stuck, they couldn't be reused or they'd tear when he tried. They often end up in the bin, which isn't ideal.

So without hesitation, magnets! We can use them endlessly, and we can mix themes to create more stories!

Which seems more fun and creatively stimulating to you: rigid wooden or cardboard magnets, or soft, stackable magnets from Ma Cabane à Rêves?

For many reasons, flexible magnets! Being able to stack them is very interesting from a creative point of view, as it allows you to combine objects and ideas and create beautiful displays. They are strong, pliable, lightweight, easy to clean, can be put in water, and also take up less storage space!

Do you find the idea of encouraging your child to play by combining magnets with crayons on the slate interesting?

It's great because it allows the child to create more and more and invent many stories!

Starting from one magnet, there are so many possibilities.

Our Numbers and Symbols magnets proudly join your at-home Montessori activity space :) Would you be willing to share some activity ideas with us to introduce your child to mathematics using our magnetic numbers?

Gladly! Leonard is still little but is starting to show interest in numbers. So I've thought of a few activities for him, including:

- recognizing numbers by matching identical numbers-tracing numbers using pencils and a template (and comparing them to Montessori sandpaper numbers);

- counting by placing the correct number of magnets next to each number;

- circling the same numbers in a certain color.

What new magnet theme would you like to see added to our collection?

Why not a sports theme, with soft illustrations as you do so well at "Ma Cabane à Rêves", or magnets on the seasons to create beautiful pictures to integrate into a seasonal table, for example.

What do you like about Ma Cabane à Rêves and why?

I like the idea of offering an activity that can be endlessly adapted. The themes are varied and can be tailored to each child's tastes and sensibilities. Manipulating the magnets is an excellent exercise for little hands, allowing them to unleash their creativity, express themselves, and develop their language skills.

The slate is a great play surface, allowing children to learn while having fun!
